Tuesday, June 28, 2011 - FFMUN File Fulfillment Now Available Through USPS Electronic Product Fulfillment (EPF) System

Professional Mail Services, Inc (PMSI) of Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, a leading provider of mail communications, announced today that the USPS has announced the availability of their Electronic Product Fulfillment (EPF) system for customers to electronically access and download their FFMUN fulfillment notifications.

The USPS EPF system is a replacement to the previous FFMUN fulfillment service throught RIBBS which was compromised in early April. The EPF system is still techinally a pilot program but is being implemented more quickly to fulfill the requirements associated with FFMUN.

Monday, June 27, 2011 - Canada Post to Resume Operations Monday

Canada Post has initiated the process to resume operations following the passage of back to work legislation (Bill C-6, An Act to provide for the resumption and continuation of postal services). In accordance with the Act, employees will begin to report to work for their regularly scheduled shifts on Monday June 27 and on Tuesday June 28.

Wednesday, June 15, 2011 - Canada Post Suspends Operations
Following 12 days of increasingly costly and damaging rotating strikes being carried out by the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW), Canada Post has suspended operations across the country. The accelerating decline in volumes and revenue combined with the inability to deliver mail on a timely and safe basis has left the company with no choice but to make this decision. read more ...



Tuesday, April 19, 2011 - FFMUN Fulfillment From USPS RIBBS Has Been Discontinued Until Further Notice

Professional Mail Services, Inc (PMSI) of Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, a leading provider of mail communications, announced today that the USPS has immediately discontinued FFMUN fulfillment from RIBBSS until further notice.

The USPS is no longer going to distribute FFMUN data electronically via RIBBS but rather convert to a CD based fulfillment system. All of the details surrounding the USPS CD distribution are yet to be determined. There has been no conversion timetable provided by the USPS as of yet, so we have no idea how long it will take to get everything converted to this new distribution method.

Professional Mail Services, Inc (PMSI) of Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, a leading provider of direct mail advertising,  announced today that an unaffiliated and separate direct mail provider, Professional Mail Services, Inc (PMS) of Houston, Texas, has been charged by the United States Government by indictment with conspiracy to commit mail fraud.  While we share the same corporate names in our respective states, Professional Mail Services, Inc. (PMSI) of North Carolina and Professional Mail Services, Inc. (PMS) of Texas have never been affiliated with one another or worked together on any projects.
